Wound care service

UltraMIST therapy for chronic wounds

For wounds that have stalled, UltraMIST adds a non-contact ultrasound option to the care plan. Victory Wound Care delivers it at the bedside, at home, in assisted living, or in a skilled nursing facility across the Greater Austin metro.

What UltraMIST therapy is

UltraMIST is a low-frequency, non-contact ultrasound therapy. Instead of touching the wound, the device delivers ultrasound energy through a gentle saline mist that carries it to the wound bed. Because nothing presses on the tissue, the treatment can be applied even to tender or fragile wounds.

It is used as one part of a broader wound care plan rather than a replacement for it. Alongside cleansing, debridement when appropriate, and the right dressings, UltraMIST is applied to support the wound environment for chronic wounds that have been slow to progress. The clinician decides whether it is a suitable addition for a given wound.

How we deliver UltraMIST

Where possible the same clinician returns each visit, so the wound is measured and tracked closely across the course of therapy.

Suitability check

Review the wound and history to decide whether UltraMIST is an appropriate addition to care.

Bedside treatment

Deliver the non-contact ultrasound through a saline mist, with no direct pressure on the wound.

Integrated wound care

Combine the session with cleansing, dressings, and debridement when appropriate at the same visit.

Progress tracking

Measure and photograph the wound over the course of therapy to gauge response and adjust.

We continue to watch for infection, keep the rest of the wound plan moving, and share visit notes with progress photos with the ordering physician and facility.

Has a chronic wound stalled despite consistent care? UltraMIST may be a worthwhile addition to the plan. Call 737-667-5566 to ask whether it fits.
